About Dr Melissa Cave
Dr Melissa Cave is a warm and attentive General Practitioner who provides traditional, patient-centred medical care.
Dr Cave has a special interest in women's health contraceptive services, and antenatal shared care. With a background as a midwife prior to becoming a doctor, she brings deep understanding and expertise to caring for women at all stages of life.
Originally from the UK, Dr Cave qualified as a doctor in 2008 and gained her GP qualification in 2013. She moved to Australia in 2014 and has since delivered care to the residents of the Illawarra. Dr Cave believes in taking the time to listen to her patients and providing care in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Dr Cave works in her Solo GP business My Menopause in Jamberoo, and will be working as a solo GP from the rooms of 31 Johnson Street Kiama Downs. Dr Mel also works for RACGP (Sydney) as a paid Supervisor for Medical Registrars. She is also paid by the Department of Health for her infant vaccination programs (Australian Immunisation Registry).
